ART’è donna
Group Exhibition and Public Installation
2019-2020
ART’è donna is a project initiated by the Ufficio Donna del Comune di Bolzano to support and promote emerging female - identifying artists under 35, working across disciplines such as painting, photography, and graphic arts.
Throughout the program that lasted for a year, each artist partecipating was given a solo exhibition for 2 weeks in the foyer of the Comune di Bolzano. My solo show in December was titled Il mondo agli occhi.
ART’è donna culminated then with a final group exhibition titled “Mostra collettiva - Kollektivaustellung” in June (Originally postponed due to the pandemic), at the Galleria Civica in Bolzano, featuring my works with Giulia Pedron, Laura Pan, Eleonora Bovo, Doris Moser, Serena Silverio and Lara Tisot. The show was inaugurated with public talks by Ciro Saetti (head of the Associazione degli Artisti dell'Alto Adige) and Stefano Santore, Director of the Office for Family, Women, and Youth.
One of the key additions was the involvement of the Associazione degli Artisti, which has supported artists in the region for nearly a century. Each participant was paired with a curator/artist - mentor who provided personalized guidance in curating, installation, public relations, and promotional strategy — bridging with professional art - world experience. Importantly, ART’è donna also covered all production and promotional expenses: from the printing of posters and advertising materials to the publication of a full exhibition catalogue.
In addition, each artist was invited to display one selected artwork in a dedicated vetrina (display window) inside Galleria Stella, a public street in the passage between Via Grappoli and Piazza Walther. These vetrine installations remained on view for a full year, embedding the project directly into the everyday life of the city.
This edition of ART’è donna also collaborated with Museion – Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Bolzano.
