Cut, Fold, Judge

Cut, Fold, Judge

Which “Cut,Fold,Judge” I decided to revisit a popular game called Exquisite Corpse, but with a twist. This performance-game is part of Common Ground initiative in Frankfurt, supported by the EU through the Erasmus+ program.

I altered the rules of the old game and transformed it into a large-scale public performance hosted at the Frankfurt gallery. It became a deliberate exploration of creativity in a communal space, aimed at challenging conventional artistic boundaries.

At its core is the power of collective creativity. Each participant was invited to push their own limits by drawing parts of small characters on paper within a shared, collaborative framework with my assistance as a facilitator.

At the end, a secret final prize awaited—but only three exceptional contributions. The winners were chosen by the group itself using red stickers, reminiscent of those used in galleries to mark sold works. This gesture was both playful and critical, offering a subtle commentary on the hierarchies of the art world and proposing a more democratic, self-determined form of recognition.
